About Larissa

Larissa is a Policy & Research Analyst at NorCal Construction Industry Compliance. She received a PhD in Sociology from the University of Oregon, with a focus on labor and employment. Her current specializations are in labor standards enforcement, workforce development, and public policy in the construction industry. She has authored multiple policy-driven publications that examine the effects of state and local regulations including prevailing wage laws, apprenticeship standards, and project labor agreements.

Before joining NCIC, Larissa was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois School of Labor and Employment Relations. Outside of the construction industry, She has published research on working conditions and labor laws in low-wage industries such as retail, hospitality, food services, child care, and gig work.
